September 19, 2010 – We find what looks like a real Ocean in Rhode Island

Light House Rhode Island

Point Judith Light house. https://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Narragansett&state=RI&zipcode=02882&country=US&latitude=41.360832&longitude=-71.481392&geocode=LATLNG, https://www.lighthouse.cc/pointjudith/ The first link is the location in Rhode Island, and the second gives back ground on the light house. This 75 mile drive took about 4 hours. We initially were trying to reach Fisherman’s memorial, which we did. The camp ground, was great, but the memorial was not informative and was located on top of an old abandoned bunker from the 1940′s. To say the least we voted it lame and boring! Oh what to do. The answer is drive the coast line on the point. That panned out great, even Holly liked it… We found this light house, and a billion men surfing on what appeared to be a high surf. We had a great time watching them try to surf, some got more wet than anything else, others, were really awesome surfers, and some just weird. We then ventured into an area that had homes of more grandeur than many I have seen in Hollywood, but with more land, gated yards with towers and amazing ocean views. To finish the day off we ate at the hungry heifer. Yup, they have’m here to. The food was soo bad, the kids would not eat the dessert!!!

Well, that is another day in the life of the Pantekoek family.

Have a good evening and a good night…
