A day in camp

15170 April 20, 2011 – Campground Day – Rolling Shoe Box

The morning started out hard, Sarah felt ill, and Holly had a lot of school work to do. But things improved and we went for a afternoon hike around our campground and the adjacent State Park. Great way to avoid State Park Fees. Good mountain biking trails, that say “No Bikes.” Welcome to California.  Darin keep us hiking for about 2 hours. Hard work at this elevation. It is amazing that there is snow this close to L.A. At 7000 ft, it always about 20 degrees cooler than the valley floor, so I can see why this place would be popular in the summer. This year it got 5 feet of snow in February. Glad I wasn’t here then.
Have a good evening
