Have not been able to do blogs for some time. Verizon service seems to be getting more difficult to get. Wondering if they are scaling back the number of towers they broadcast from. The air card has been working some what, and the smart phone hot spot, was not useable at all in Paradise. We did however get limited voice services. Paradise Thousand Trails is not a park to do any work that is dependent upon wireless service. Our Wilson signal booster was of no value in this park. So if you have been wondering what happened to the blogs, we have been in a data signal dead zone.
We had a great time visiting Barbabra and her family in Yakima. They are building a new cabin around their current one. The current one is one room with a loft and smaller than a most storage units you might find at Home Depot. Myke is building his own beams by laminating boards together. He is a good carpenter, brave and judging by the property, rather ambitious. I wish I could have stayed and helped, but I would probably be more in the way than a help any how. The new cabin will be really awesome, and over looking a stream. I hope they invite us back to see the finished product. It is a beautiful property, and we have really enjoy them.
On the way to Yakima, we got our windshield cracked on the RV due to a high speed driver in a construction zone. Novus sent a man out to Paradise Thousand Trails, where he drilled out the crack on the window and filled it with hard white stuff, and said it would not ever break there again. Took him about an hour and only cost us $70 with tax. He says the fix is guaranteed for the life of Novus. Novus did us well, and we would recommend them to any one with cracked glass.
Now that all the work is done, it is time to hit the hot tub and swim, but something happened at the park. They had a worse day than us with their equipment. The pool filter system exploded and and sent the lid in the air, and all the sand out into the road. All the pools and hot tub were shut until further notice. They ordered parts, but I think they might be like the spring for the RV, and made at the time of order. The weather never got warm anyway, just clouds and drizzle, so not the greatest loss ever.
