We must pass through the city of darkness to get to our next destination. Population 4 Million!

Though all 4 million are out here on the road, and in my way, we consider this a good thing. The way these people drive, it is best if their speed is kept down. They do less damage this way.

We broke free from the dark side and are heading up in to the light

We setup camp. It is more rustic on this end of Soledad Canyon Thousand Trails. The grassy area had no spaces available with power. This area worked out better anyway. With the Wilson booster, we get great cell and internet here. Yea!

The largest swimming pool out side of a water park, we have ever seen.

We are a little early in the season. We adults are not good polar bears

Cold water is not an issue for kids though! At 85 degrees in the sun, the pool makes them happy.

We drive back to the edge of Morodor but stop short in the city of Monterrey Park. Where we meet up with our friends Norman, Grace and Paul. They grow cool stuff in their yard to bring some light to the city of darkness.

Paul and the girls visit. The girls are looking out over Catalina Island, but the smoke conceals the island.

Well, it is time to get out of Dodge and head home to Acton.

Seen this before! This is why one should choose a career that allows him to telecommute.

These guys are everywhere! They have invaded our home. Brought all their own ambulances and stuff. Not sure what they were filming, but the girls recognized the female actors. Based on the actors, the girls think it might be a Disney film

The sun is setting on the hills. That means the rattle snakes are coming out. We know this cause we saw one again.! Time to go home

Home sweet home! Tomorrow we are moving our home to Kings Canyon. We hear it is pretty there.
