16 Feb 2015 September 2, 2012 – Oregon State Fair and Bingo by admin | posted in: Oregon | 0 Oregon State Fair 2012 – The coldest day we have ever experienced at the fair. The high was only 75, but it made for a very comfortable afternoon. It is usually 85 or better this time of year. Mike Shows the girls around this army vehicle. One mistake he made though, is showing Holly where the ignition switch is, and how to use it. Sarah is standing in the gunner hole, shooting people with my favorite weapon. “The Samsung Intensity 2″ Mike is checking out the llamas We get up close and personal with this llama. It is one bad llama, and is in jail because he bites! If you still bite, this is an object lesson, if you bite, you go to jail. Mike’s favorite ride at the fair is the scooper machine from Kubota. Our favorite part of the fair is the American Dairy Women ice cream barn. We go here every year. Like the fair, the ice cream cone was a third smaller this year too. The ice cream is still awesome though. Happy Girls My crew enjoying the shade while finishing their ice cream. Anyone know how to buy and replace a lens on a Cannon SX210? Love the camera, but the lens is a disaster. Mike is buying the girls tickets to ride the carnivore rides. I say carnivore, because I saw the ticket prices. Sarah and Hailey board a clam shell ride, and Athena take Holly to the snack hut to show her how to properly check out guys. So many of them to sort through to find a good one, so much luck and skill required. None of these were worthy. Hailey does not look real sure about this ride On second thought, she is sure! Go Hailey! Holly and Sarah ride the Black Widow. Hailey stayed behind, she was sure she was not interested in this one yet. It has been a fun day, but we say good-bye to Mike and Winter. They are running off to try to buy a house, and we are running off to See my brother Randy and Bernadette.to See my brother Randy and Bernadette. The fair was nice, but the entrance fees, are getting to be a bit much. The vendor and food exhibits are 30 percent fewer than in the past. The miniature horseswere no longer, many other things gone as well. I guess the recession is taking its toll. The next day, we woke up in time for the 7pm Bingo Game here at The Bend Sunriver Thousand Trails park. Sarah won the game, and Got a basket full of vegetables. I think this is Gods way of telling her what she needs in her diet. 🙂 Another week with the Pantekoek family has passed on.Good Evening, and Good Night….
