23 Feb 2015 January 28, 2013 Mount Helix Park San Diego by athena | posted in: California | 0 Venture to Mount Helix San Diego. From Pio Pico Thousand Trail 14615 Otay Lakes Rd, Jamul, Ca. You travel 21 miles Northwest on Highway 94. If you have not been creamed before you reach the top by a dyslectic driver who thinks the speed limit is 52, you will find a four stall parking lot beneath the cross. Other wise you no longer need the cross. By the way by the way of some strange phenomena, most of the people here appear to suffer from dyslexia. The cross is huge and lit by flood lights. Have not been in town after dark, so I have no idea if it can be seen from the bottom of the hill. The theater is huge appears to seat more than 300. it is used for wedding and stuff. You better be in great shape if you want to attend the wedding as you will have to park at the bottom and walk up. Providing you are not killed by a speeding car, it is only 4 miles, but it will feel like ten on a 100% grade. Looks like they built all this because a lady liked looking out from this hill, and died. (Probably hit by a car) Looking toward El Cajon Looking at the ocean and bay. It is foggy, because it is winter. Few little trails around the theater What the theater looks like from the pastors view point, only he would see the tops of a whole bunch of heads that fell a sleep during opening prayer. (That is why pastors often wear sunglasses. The sun hits all those heads and it bright). I bet you did not know that the person not sleeping sticks out like a strobe light did you. Sarah rests, sends text messages to anyone who might be listening to tell them about this out door holy place.Well, That’s Mt Helix, take a run up there, and don’t drive like a Californian!
