21 Feb 2015 December 26, 2012 – Christmas at Pio Pico Resort San diego County by athena | posted in: California | 0 Our neighbors brought Santa with them, but he wanted his own diggs.. Off to Costco to buy potatoes for Christmas supper and a hot dog for lunch Back at home Athena cooks what used to be an old stand by until beef went up. Now Spaghetti is a treat. Sun came out so we took a little walk Some idiot got the same paint job as we have. He has a Safari Cheetah. Probably went through the same paint booth that ours did, and likely the same day. Had to drive to Jamul to get our mail. It is about 10 miles from camp. Back at camp, I admire Sarah’s handy work with the Christmas tree. Christmas day, I stayed in Bed and shot the photos from there. I was rather ill. Sick like I got into Penicillin.I bought Athena a key chain finder, all you do is whistle and it yells back. Turns out Athena can’t whistle. Too bad we can program the key chain to whistle at her when she yells at it. Needless to say this turns out to be another electronic device to crowd our already mired useless electronics prison we call the cube. I hope she likes the other gift I got her. Sarah got Wii Sports Resort – Happy Sarah The girls designed a book on Holly’s computer, then sent it to Cafe Press. I don’t think I will top this gift. 🙂 Emily gives Holly and Sarah Glowy Balls, they love them! Athena hooked the balls to the tree, where they happily blinked all day long. I bought Athena the entire 2012 series of History detectives. She loves that series, I think it made up for the key finder. Sure glad she did not let me buy that breath tester for one of my brothers as a gag gift. I don’t think it would have gone over as well as the key finder. No worries though, this was a great year of History Detectives., and Athena is happy. Dad got Athena and I a copy of Benjamin Franklin. We really like Benjamin Franklin because unlike the presidents, he just can’t pull off stern scrooge. Franklin is like Sarah and just too happy all the time to pull off stern. Guess that is why he get to be on the money without being president. Who could resist his grin. Don’t believe me, look at all the other faces on money, their grumpy. Holly and Sarah love the wallets Elizabeth made them. Sarah got Holly a strange video game, though strange, Holly seems to love it and has a hard time leaving it for even a bathroom break. Next day I get a short walk in and take a photo of our house. Found a cool flower. I was worried it might be a one of a kind endangered species. Knowing that such a thing could cause the EPA to close the park, I picked it and brought it in to my wife. For the price of a flower, my wife slaves a way in the kitchen making me a killer supper. Holly plays her new sims thing Sarah plays Wii sports! She’s happy. Next morning, I get a call says our RV has get an inspection in El Cajon, in order to validate the warranty and we have to pull out now. I was too ill to drive, but orders are orders. We cut up the tree with our reciprocating saw, packed it in trash bags, and tossed its body parts in the dumpster hoping no one would notice. I went out and looked at our water filter, one look at this, and I told the family no more drinking the water. We are too close to Mexico. This filter was new three days ago. Athena and I drove to town in the evening and bought bottled water. Maybe this is why we were all so ill. The weather changed in town and we got wet. Visibility was poor, so being a Jedi, I used the force to get us home. On the 30th we had to move, we are now in Wilderness Lakes Menefee, Ca. There is no lakes, nor wilderness, but we have two very nice feedlot style dairy’s on our border. The cows don’t smell like roses, nor do I think they get paid very well for the work they do. The site though is clean, and wide, and all the facilities are in good condition. We really like that. We also got a bit of snow to look at. Sarah and I are not dissapointed, they let her use the pool tables. Sarah and I are back to our regular game of pool.Good evening and Good Night…. Have a happy new year! Thanks to everyone for all the great Christmas gifts, we may not have mentioned them all, but we loved them all.
