If there were more active sports where people could blow off stress, maybe there would be fewer mass shootings. People are working 24×7 these days, they use their vacations to get caught up with the bills, fix the car, repair their homes. It is getting to be where only the few get vacations. I know business owners who barely know who their families are. Many families I have met lately take separate vacations. Free enterprise, Family and God are the weave of the fabric our society was made from.
When we take one fabric away from the weave or use too much of one fabric we begin to make a new society. I see God being dropped, family being mitigated, and I see more craziness in the news than I ever imagined. My kids tell me that they hold the hours I worked against me, and bringing them to work did not count.
I thought owning a home on 2 acres in the suburbs, good cars, and putting them in Christian school was my job. Build stability as they say. When my brain and body got to where work was no longer an option, we sold the house and took the RV on an open ended road trip. I thought we were finally getting quality time with the kids, but as one of them told me this week, that damage was too great to be fixed with by driving around.
I am left with a crazy question. How do you treat employers, business partners right, and give your family the time and the love they need. Where is that balance. If you have family, you need to find it, before non-reversible damage is done.
To those that are hurting in some way and can track the source of our hurt to someone else.
Try and search for positive way to deal with it, don’t over spend, break laws, seek popularity, consume liquor, seek revenge, hurt them back by hurting yourself, or violate the laws of God to mask the pain. We have all done things looking for the quick fix, then blaming others during or after our actions. Life is hard enough without setting ones self up for greater pain down the road. Now you have today’s pain, and the pain of recovering from the cure you tried. Don’t let someone else ruin your life through the things they did to you. Your family, your friends, and your God love you too much to watch you remain broken.

A nation takes a lot to run. We have underpaid men and women working / serving in every conceivable capacity, some risk and often lose their lives so that we can live free. Disagreement is natural when there are 380 million people being represented. Protesting in the streets and violence is not the answer. Certain Christian groups calling our fallen soldiers names and throwing rocks at the families is sad. We the people are getting violent, beating up fast food employees because the order is wrong, shooting police for target practice. All because we hurt and someone has to pay? Our soldiers fought so we could be free of Government tyranny. The post modern man, and post Christian era, preaches love, throws rocks, demands my way or the highway, and will even kill his fellow countryman. We create our own Tyranny and it makes me sad. God loves us all, and I am sure he would like us to assess where we are as a country; compared to what God ordained for us at the time when our country was birthed. Like going from adolescence to adulthood mistakes were made, and non of our founding fathers were perfect. God worked with those who would listen.

In Easter, we will celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ which makes this verse possible for us today. Jesus is doing this for all right now. All we have to do is focus on him.
John 8: At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”
11 “No one, sir,” she said.
“Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”
Going through the surgery, the pain from the back, the pressures of a holiday that I rather detested, and some family issues. I had a come to Jesus meeting. I don’t mean that figuratively. Many of my short comings where thrown in my face, I am sure of more to come. I made many confessions of my sins. Though Jesus knows that some sins and mental issues are hard to not repeat, habits and fears and feelings of being compelled by fear or others haunt us. The bottom line, is Jesus is love. He is where love comes from. He will right your ship. When your sin is made public, you are under scorn, and your ill. Remember the love Jesus showed to this woman. Through faith in Christ we will be set free. We all went through figurative emotional and physical hell over this holiday. Feeling pain as a Dad, only helped me to see the pain Christ goes through and his resolve give us peace in him. What an awesome gift Christ gave me. Christ loves you too,
If your not too sure about this, I challenge you to do this. Some of the readers of this blog are way ahead of me in their faith and relationship with Jesus, some Hate God and maybe me for writing this today, some just believe there is no God, all a fairy tale. It does not matter where you are, or what your stance is. Jesus loves you no matter what you are doing. I was at rock bottom over these last few weeks. I sought an answer to His love in earnest. The answer is Jesus loves us all unconditionally. If we respond to that love, we will delight him in a manor that is way beyond our comprehension. For those that want to the will of God or go deeper in the walk with him, I challenge you to spend fifteen minutes reading your Bible (Start with John in the New Testament if you have no place to start. Then read Genesis). Find a quiet place and voice your feelings to God. The answers will follow at some point through some form. Six billion humans on the planet and He has time for you.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
