We leave Cactus Pete’s at 8am, which is our new O’ dark thirty. We all got old, so we don’t get up in the dark any more

We pass the town where Walmart gets it’s bottles water. “American Falls” – looks a lot like a big lake to us.

In preparation for the heat of Yellowstone, we stop and tour Hells Half Acre. A great rest area just off 86.

The Devil left an unmarked box, that was really hard to open along the trail. I think there was a camera somewhere to see who would try to open it, and who would succeed. Inside the box was a survey asking what extreme sports the person opening it participated in over the last few days. Traveling with teens was not on the list! I was very put out! Of course Holly could have been holding out on me.

We arrive at Yellowstone Holiday RV resort, about 11 miles from the gate. Sure beats spending thousands of dollars in Forest Service Campgrounds like we did in California.

Yellowstone Holiday is another great RV resort. We stayed inthe less expensive sites, but at this park, the premium sitesare worth the premium due to the proximity to the lake. Our

site though was too sloped for the size of rig we have. We are

thankful the air shock held up this far.

Good evening and good night
