September 4, 2010 – Drive around New Hampshire
These people in New York and New Hampshire have serious spending issues. The well to do in Oregon get Granite counter tops and bragging rights. In New Hampshire, the curbs are smooth granite just like the counter tops, the gravel is granite, and streets are paved with granite and fools gold. Yet, they still need more money. Another funny thing is the License plates say “Live Free or Die” (They forgot “Hard”). Also, if they are so free why do they have transponders in their cars? Police video cameras in all the public places? among other methods of tax and tracking of persons. Interesting place..
One thing they do have here is Wild Turkey, and I am not talking about the liquid variety. Turkey’s are everywhere and they do not look as stupid and ugly as a domestic turkeys. The Wild turkey is graceful, large, and loves this climate. The trees and underbrush are thick, one could get disappeared and be 10′ off the highway. I have been really hoping to see and taste a moose, as I have neither seen nor tasted one, but we have yet to find one.
See the pictures and notes today for more of the surrounding area.
Have a good evening and a good night..
